Well we certainly shot them down yesterday.  As the new saying goes " beware
the sides of Marsch" That was as good as it gets, and should be a sea change in
our attitude towards Marsch - lots still resent him for not being Bielsa but if
we play like we did v chelsae he will be a fine replacement for the great
manPre game I wondered how the crowd would re- act to another beating at the
hands of the top six,  would we cheer them fron the rafters as we always did
under MB or would we turn like we did v Villa ?In the event it was a question
we would not need answers to. This was the day we became Jesse Marsch's team
and I liked it
We were all action, all the time , with good moves and good football thrown in,
in front of an old fashioned English crowd - lets hope we never lose that edge
on the terraces
A dodgy start saw Sterling waltz through the defence and blast wide in the
first few minutes, then our Achilles heel come to the fore as twice they had a
spare man wide, thankfully when they found their shooting boots the flag and
then Mesliers long arms saved us from going behind.
Then roared on by the crowd , cheering every tackle , we began to dominate and
take control,  knocking them off their stride and rattling them. They could not
cope with our intensity , Adams who was superb,  buzzed around and was here
there and everywhere ably supported by Aaronson who put in a real shift and
Jackie H. Roca added a bit of poise to the madness.
The first goal - not an own goal Tuchel you whinging,  moaning,  lying bad
loser- was great and will happen again.  Aaronson gave the keeper no time as he
chased him down took the ball off him and rolled it into an empty net.  The
crowd loved it , it was better than a 40 yarder!
A few minutes later a lovely bit of skill by Struik,  not the answer but
growing into the left back position,  ended with the ball being fed to Roca. As
he went down and the yellow card came out , I thought  " stimulation  " but the
card was for their player and the free kick was ours. A lovely cross in and
there was Rod to head home , brilliant,  and a goal he would never have scored
last season.  As my son said , as the Moreno chant echoed round, why did we
persevere with Rodrigo when we had this Moreno chap all along. He really does
look a different person
At 2 up we started to believe but last week v Southampton was st the back of
our minds.
Chelsea when we thought they would come out second half all guns blazing ,
still could not get a foothold as Koch, lloremte, Struik and Kristensen stood
firm. Meslier making the odd save to keep himself involved.
The 3rd when it came was majestic and the icing on  the cake - nice ball to
James,  cross fell to Rod whose shot,  going wide was pounced on at full
stretch by Harrison. Then we knew we were winning this. The crowd roared,
chanted and applauded their heroics as Marsch learning from last week made the
subs, Forshaw for the tiring Roca to firm things up, Klich to add steel and
guile and cleverness,  then Sinisterra and Joffy to add the unexpected,  Joffy
again making a difference this time flicking the ball over his head, laying it
off and being thrown to the floor as he went for the return pass- 2nd yellow
and off the Chelsea lad went, " with time to go" ringing in his ears
The final whistle brought more cheers as I predict a riot blasted out with
36,000 voices joining in. What a game, what an atmosphere what a result.  Well
worth the hassle of delayed trains and early start on a Sunday
If this is what we have to look forward to under Marsch then bring it on. It's
not Bielsaball but it is fun nonetheless and he could be a worthy successor on
the pitch.  This could be the game when we accept Bielsa is gone and we get
100% behind the new manager,  to be honest it's the least he deserves if we
keep playing like this .
As fans we ask for 100% commitment and effort, we are certainly getting both
this season

So brilliant stuff and will send me on my holidays with a smile in my face (
missing Barnsley and Everton - here's hoping for a cup run and 3more home
points)So we have 7pts from 3 games that brought only 1 in the corresponding
fixtures last season,  that's got to be good. Brighton will be tough but no
reason we cant get at least a point

DaveVery happy today MOT
