Well that was as bad a game as I have ever seen, and definitely the worst
penalty shoot out - how can Firpo and Perkins miss so badly when under no
pressure at all ( we were out whatever the result of it, and only 1200 bored
fans there)
Without being great Klich stood out as the one player with any quality.
Like many I have wanted Perkins and Josep etc to be given a first team chance
based on how good they look in u21s , but when up against real seasoned
professionals they were average to woeful
As for Firpo , words fail me , he was truly terrible.
The wet weather, it was teeming down, did not help, nor did the fact that
crewe had settled for a 0 0 straight away, but that was turgid and mistake
ridden without a single proper chance ( maybe willie hitting the woodwork)
To make things worse the pubs were shit, the atmosphere non existent ( at
Salford last season it was fun in the crowd) and I got drenched stood at the
ticket office because my original ticket had not been updated so I could not
get in and they had no idea what to do. A shambles

Started slowly but have warmed to the task and Klich has been our best player.
Gyabi had a great shot tipped on to the bar and Gnonto has shown bits and
pieces.
We look good at times but feel we can do better.
