Yes I'm 63 now and still chant and sing ( and shout abuse) like I always have.
Only difference between me now and me as a teenager is that now there are
certain songs ( Munich the most obvious one) that I refuse to sing but that
apart  I stand and sing all game , as do most of my mates who are around the
same age.
Looking at the  Prem it is the new breed who lack our hostility towards the
opposition and who have the " go on entertain me" vibe as they watch the game ,
often whilst filming it or themselves,  rather than being a part of the game
and getting involved.
The 80s / 90s will never be back ( good in some ways I suppose) but we made our
own entertainment,  no need for bands , drums, goal music and other
orchestrated noise

Agree with both of your reports Dave.
I saw the moaning on Waccoe too, and one post really p'd me off.  Some (young
kid? Joined Waccoe in 2018) was moaning about the lack of atmosphere and the
fact that there are two many over 60s in the crowd who can barely smile let
alone create a "cauldron".  Cheeky tw@t.  I resisted the urge to respond as it
would soon get into a slagging match. It was us "over 60s" that built Leeds'
"reputation" that probably attracted people like him to go in the first place!

It's very odd - go on waccoe etc and it is full of fans bemoaning our
atmosphere and saying how poor it is these days - then go on away fans forum  (
blue moon in this case) and they all reckon it's the best in the league ( 2
quotes below) - I suppose both can be true, nothing like the 'good old days'
but not yet the boring sterile library-like atmosphere of most Prem grounds
"Best atmosphere I've experienced at a City away game for a few years,
especially as they've now got a whole generation who've only known them to be
hopeless,.and don't necessarily expect them to win. There were also some
humorous responses.to the predictable taunts from the City end."

"I don't like saying this but I have to admit it: the Leeds crowd were making a
hell of a racket, even at 2-0 down. Props to them. They were pushing their team
and there was a rocky period after they scored, for a short while"
