Hi Dave, Yes it does not add up in my mind either. If we need a left back, then sign one. If the current set of Centre Backs aren’t good enough, then why give 2 of them new contracts at a time when the other 2 appear to be first choice.
He may prove to be an upgrade in both roles but it doesn’t make a great deal of sense to me at the moment.
