I for one have no clue as to how we are trying to play, but whatever it is it isn’t effective. Our midfield is clueless - I agree about Greenwood - more of a presence than the others, and strikes a much better dead-ball. I thought Aaronson showed some decent touches today, but the crumpling to the deck act is infuriating and ridiculous. The shape of the team is all wrong, and whoever thinks Rodrigo can lead the line is very, very wrong.
As for Gracia, he either doesn’t know what he’s doing, didn’t realise the players limitations, or just cannot motivate them, but he isn’t working! After only 10 games in charge the calm, considered responses now look like hollow, vacuous confusion. While there are still points to play for anything is possible, but I don’t see us avoiding the drop this time round. Quite what the financial impact of that will be, even given the parachute payment, I don’t know, but I could see us near the bottom of the championship if some kind of fire-sale has to take place.
