Not only are we playing Newcashle tomorrow, Yorkshire are playing Durham.

As a keen fan of both, it is uncanny how the fortunes of Yorkshire and LUFC
seem to mirror each other. Take April 9th for example. Yorkshire set
Leicestershire (who I believe hadn't won a game for 2 years) a huge total
to win at Headingley on the final day, so all we had to do was bowl 'em out
to win. Meanwhile (not) far away on the other side of town, Leeds were 1-0
up against a Palace team who hadn't won an away game for months.

Well, we all know how the Palace game ended up, while bloody Leicestershire
calmly knocked off the runs for the loss of only 7 wickets.

Which brings us to tomorrow.

The game at Chester-le-Street is in the balance after 2 days. Malan &
Bairstow will resume in our 2nd innings with a lead of about 100. They will
walk out to the middle an hour and a half before Leeds kick off at Elland
Road.

If Johnny (who is a Leeds fan, by the way) is still there at lunch on 93
not out, I think Leeds could win............but if Yorkshire crumble to 150
all out, we've got no chance at Elland Road.
