All very quiet after the weekend performance. I guess the team are allowed
a game where the never really get going. Conversely Soton took every
opportunity they got and Leeds could not really come to terms with Alcaraz?
Playing the false 9. Cooper in particular was dragged into all sorts of
strange areas.
I don't think him and Struijk work too well together and think I would
prefer to see Rodon with one or other.

Whilst Farke has done well to get anything like a decent squad/team
together I dothink there are areas where the balance is all wrong.

Having right footers at left-back and left wing seems to really limit the
success down that side. Summerville and James when on that side only come
back inside, as do Shackleton or Byram at Left back. Anthony looks the
best bet for the moment as although right footed, he is preepared to go
both ways. I'd pick Summerville on the right ahead of James as he has more
Variety.

It is not getting the best out of Piroe at No 10. Him playing 2nd striker,
means that the midfield is often outnumbered. I'd like to see him up front,
but confess I don't know who would go in the 10 role. Perhaps a 3 man
midfield of Ampaudu, Kamara and Gray.

Lastly I'm not sure about Rutter. He did have a blinder v Watford, but he
looks to me like one of those players who frustrates 90% of the time, then
does something brilliant. As when he raced round the Soton defence and then
made a poor choice.

Perhaps he would be best cutting in from the right to join the attack from
there.

Anyway, if we win the next 2 home games we will be back on track, so it
might be better than I fear.

KOT.
