Must admit I think the awarding of a trophy for finishing 3rd is a bit daft. I bet it was a Sky idea to enable them to hype it up even more.
Taking of betting I see Leeds are favourites with most bookies at 4-6 compared to Southampton at 6-5. I guess that is based on the fact that we finished higher, and are perceived to be the bigger club, with more fans willing to back us. I’m not sure I agree, based on the fact that they have outplayed us twice. At least they are a footballing side rather than a bunch of cloggers. I would rather lose to them than get kicked off the park. They can overplay at the back which gives me a bit of hope, but my chief worry is that with Archie and Ampadu starting at the back, there is no prospect of fresh legs in midfield either in the 2nd half or extra time, which IMO has been the biggest issue in the 2nd half of the season. I can’t see Farke risking a youngster for essentially a debut unless he really has to. As for penalties, that doesn’t bear thinking about!! Good luck boys and hope everyone has a great day.
