Equaliser aside, Arranson was gash: every pass went astray, pushed off the ball
too easily and never there when Firpo needed an outlet.

I’m not necessarily against his return on principle, I’m just yet to be
convinced he’s any good as a footballer. And that last-kick miss was dreadful.

Which leads me to, did we miss Summerville? Short answer yes. Slightly longer
answer, how could we not? If Gnonto goes or ceases to be as interested as he
sometimes can be, then we are going to need a new winger or two… because on top
of that James’ distribution remains distinctly patchy - like Rutter’s.

Before the game we thought Struijk / Rodon and Gruev / Ampadu, looked a strong
back bone… and I still think it will be, but 3 goals from 3 shots asks its own
questions.

Bogel, looks good going forward and not v good defending. Two goals came
directly from where he was, or was not… that period of playing 3 at the back
with Firpo at a kind of inside right and Bogel “somewhere else” was just
bizarre. Their tactic of hoofing the ball high out to his side, where the left
back beat him every single time in the air, was a worry.

I like Joseph. He’s fast, strong, works hard and isn’t afraid of shooting
early. He’ll get goals this year, given a chance.

We played well, mostly. Just need to be a bit calmer in front of goal…

And their second was a once in a lifetime strike from the guy. Should have been
closed down, yeah, but the strike was what made it.
