If Ramazani had taken that chance we would have had goalscorers from
seven different countries, although he did score at Cardiff earlier in
the season, if that counts.

Having spotted that potential stat I was yelling at Firpo to shoot
before he played the ball through to Piroe for the final goal, but I
suppose scorers from six countries is good enough. Has it ever happened
before?

"Who put the ball in the cardiff net? Who put the ball in the Cardiff
net, who put the ball in the Cardiff net - half our fucking team did
" A brilliant chant to round off a brilliant day. They were
unbeaten in 9 games and had only lost once in their last 13 visits to
us, who can forget the 3-0 lead being thrown away in Struik first
appearance, or the humiliating 0- 5 when Bellamy ripped us apart,( add
to that the infamous cup defeat at theirs under O' leary) - Well this
was sweet revenge Prematch we were all moaning about that bore fest at
Burnley and our general lack of umph and ambition, well today showed
what happens when we go for it for 90minutues- we destroy them. This was
a rout from first to last , a chance in the first few minutes and a goal
after 6 minutes then the seventh and last on 95minutes , a day to
savour Discussing possible team selection my lad and I agreed we needed
to bring back Rothwell and Firpo to add to our attack and forward
momentum- well we got what we asked for , and it worked Firpo credited
with 3 assists - 2 of which were crosses into the 6yd box that any
winger ever would have been proud of If you were writing the perfect
game for this team this was it- I read pre-match that Aaronsson hasn't
scored or assisted in 7 games, he scored the opener, Piroe not scored
for a while and only got 5 in 20 starts ( his other goals were as sub) -
he slotted home a penalty and scored the 7th. Joseph has not been the
player we were hoping for especially in front of goal, he got a tap-
in. Willy been off the boil recently, came on and beat a few defenders
before firing home Even Meslier, who has kept clean sheets since his
Hull debacle - but without facing a real shot- was written into the
script and made one decent diving save. Finally DJ a player who has
often been criticised for lack of vision did exactly the right thing for
the first 2 goals, laying it on a plate for Aaronsson and Solomon
respectively when he could easily have taken the wrong option. He was a
man on a mission yesterday and probably my man of the match This was
almost the perfect performance and result, only the glaring miss by
Ramazani who could have made it 7 with 7 different scorers at the time,
a bit disappointing. Let's have more of the same please and blow away a
few more teams between now and the end of the season It was fun Dave
