Hello fellow listers.
In the absence of anything else to think about in this tedious break I find
myself continually fretting about the nightmare scenario of ending up
facing Scumderland at Wembley in the playoff final. That led me to consider
which terrible ways we might contrive to lose, my "favourite" being Bamford
missing the crucial penalty in a shootout.
Anyway, this led me to think about Meslier and penalties. I am actually
pretty supportive of Meslier in general, unlike many fans......but can
anyone ever remember him saving a penalty? I have no idea how many he's
faced in his 100s of games for us, but it must be at least 10 or so? And
not only has he (I'm almost certain) not saved any of 'em, I can't even
remember him coming CLOSE to saving one!
Anybody got any stats to back this up?
P.S. The worst thing about being a Leeds fan in an international break is
that you have to end up watching bloody Wales!
