2nd half was great yesterday in so many ways but the main thing for me is that
Farke made early subs and totally changed our formation and guess what ? It
changed the game. I think that’s the first time he’s ever done that. Question
is will he learn from it?
2 strikers up front was a breath of fresh air and we had City on the rack. The
midfield was the Championship midfield and they did us proud in that 2nd half.
Tanaka, Ampadu and Gruev were brilliant!
The main concern for me is our keeper. He was fouled for their 2nd but how weak
was he ? The City player was only 4ft 10 and 6 stone ! Also, Foden’s winner. I
think a decent keeper gets that. He seems heavy footed and doesn’t move quick
enough across his goal. A real concern for me.
Bring Chelsea on !

Too little, too late for me. Have Farke see off the next two games and then
thank him and wish him good luck.
Imagine if he would have been this flexible with regards to tactics and
formations against the so-called lesser premier league teams.
It's another defeat, and now 6 of the last 7. We sit languishing in the
relegation zone.

Cheers
Mark

Or to look at it another way, fearing for his job he finally played the style
he should have done from the start.
We've a squad built for direct football, not passing it around at the back.
Be very interesting to see what he does on Wednesday. Does he stick with the
second half formation or revert to type?
All he's done is prove a change of formation / style has got more out of this
group of players, in the same way a change of manager could.

Subject: [LU] Well...........

I don't think I've ever been so happy after a defeat! That 2nd half was
nothing short of stupendous!

To the antifarkeistas on here, all I can say is "Well they've all gone
quiet over there!"

And as if Farke hadn't added enough credit to his account with that
transformation, his comments re Man C's cheating (taking a time-out b/c he
had Guardiola so rattled) were positively Bielsa-esque ......"If we don't
educate our players in football what to do in terms of fair play and
sportsmanship and whatever and if we just try to bend the rules and even do
a fake injury in order to do an additional team talk, it is not what I like
personally.
