Over years on this list there have been outbreaks of "real fan" arguments. I have always kept out of them but to me if you live anywhere near Leeds then if you class youself as any sort of real fan then surely you should be there on Friday unless you have a really good reason for not being there.
All the anti Bates, anti pricing policy, anti Blackwell reasons do not wash for this game. It is only a catagory B game and is the most important game we have had for years - if we do not get promoted this year it may well be many seasons before we do so, given the quality of the teams coming down and the other teams who are staying in this Division, especailly if our fans continue to desert in droves. WBA, Sunderland and Brum will all be reasonably equipped for promotion plus whoever stays down out of Watford \ Palace \Preston then add teams such as Norwich, Southampton (with their coca cola money :-)) Leicester, Wolves and even outside bets
such as Sheff Wed and Cardiff and I think next season in the 2nd Division will be a much harder.
So if you class youself as any sort of Leeds fan I reckon you should be pulling out all the stops to get to ER on Friday to make it "fortress Elland Road" and maybe just maybe we will get a night to remember and to put up there with some of our European nights (OK - it will be shit and we will lose)

PS I actually had a dream about the game last night - how sad is that? - we scored early (not sure who) then cos I was pissed at the game (not last night) I was woken up by my mate with minutes to go and thought it said 2 -2 on the scoreboard but I was reading the wrong bit ! Anyway their keeper has the ball and is about to throw it out when Blake sneaks up behind him and heads the ball then falls under his challenge. I think he is getting a red for diving, but no the red is for Carlo Nash -out of
2nd leg- and its a penalty which we score (not sure who again) and win 2 -0 !!!!!
What is the betting my dream game is better than the real thing ?
