I agree on this, Mark.  The defence was under pressure for much of the
match, and largely did well.  Derry was 100% effort, and you can't ask for
more than that, but he couldn't do it on his own.  I'm very surprised Stone
wasn't brought on (or even starting) - his experience and passing ability
could have made a lot of difference.

Possibly.... but we've been playing poorly for weeks now.  If the players
don't listen to the manager, is that because:

(a) They are totally stupid
(b) he's a bad communicator
(c) They don't believe he knows what he's talking about

Certainly, comparing the two managers, Boothroyd was a better communicator
and better motivator, and better tactically.  That is why Watford won.
