I'd like to suggest here that by RW's criteria, Don Revie would have been judged a shit manager.
He won the odd trophy, but nowhere near as many as he should have done with the players at his disposal. His main faults? Too cautious. To worried about stopping the other side playing. Too worried about 'professionalism'. Too superstitious. Shit manager.
