The company my father used to work for were one of the sponsors for Wycombe
Wanderers, so I had access to one of the boxes in their stadium. I used to
go see Wycombe when they were playing at home and Leeds were not playing at all
(I live down south).
I always thought that Curry was a standout player in (then) Division 2, but
I was actually quite surprised to see Ipswich go in for him, as I always thought
he was much too slow for either of the top two leagues. He does have a
good mind for the game and is good from set pieces, but he does keep the ball
for too long and it prone to losing possession when he shouldn't. Maybe
he's gotten better since leaving Wycombe, but he hasn't gotten THAT much better
I bet.
Anyway, just my opinion.
