Amazing isn't it?
When KB was playing Walton, Walton was useless: too reckless in the
tackle, unable to pass and although energetic too slow.
Now Walton's been sold, and for a reasonable fee youth is suddenly the way
to go and he should be played alongside and old head at cebtre back to
bring him on. Presumably at Kilgallon's expense?
If we sign Foxe, we have 4 centre backs who are very capable at this
level, and have gained a central midfielder (he might have been crap last
year, but he was one of their key players when they got to the Cup Final.
I'm interested to see how he plays and after we've watched him a few times
then we should have an idea of how good for us he will be). How often did
we say last season that Derry can't do all the running and tackling
himself? looks like the list mole's been doing its job. If the Livermore
/ Derry pairing works then it frees up the attacking players more, and we
have a lot of otions there now.
So far I'm pleased with the type of players we're signing - how well they
play will be main decider though.
