Bakke can't have it both ways.  Yes, it's not his fault he's on silly
money, but he has the choice - he can take the money and not play, or he
can reduce it and play - quite simple really.  In any other business, if
the company could no longer afford you, you'd get made redundant.  He's
already a millionaire, but he'd prefer to keep raking it in, rather than
roll up his sleeves and make the effort.  His attitude has been suspect (to
say the least) for some time now - he's just marking time and happy to take
the money from the club.
