I think we can
probably forgive him that but his next team sheet will
be the one that really tells us whether he does know
the weaknesses of the team likes he's claiming. THat
would mean a new captain and the replacement of Butler
at the back and bringing in a loanee left back to
replace Crainey.
FFS, what's going on???
Catching up with the list after a particularly trying day and I find it's
getting worse 'cos I'm going to have to agree with Rich Walker!!
Haven't had chance to see the goals yet but IMO Rich's general observations
about Butler are correct and I would dearly like our caretaker to give Foxe
a go. Even Gregan would be a better bet I feel, no quicker but a better
footballer than Butler in his positional play and use of the ball.
I also agree that St. Matthew, whilst nowhere near the new Woody, is far and
away our best defender but his game is suffering because he's always aware
that he might have to cover for other people's dropped bollocks.
I feel a bit sorry for Crainey.
It's true he can't defend, which is a bit of a drawback for someone whose
primary duty is to be a defender, but he is pretty good going forward and
generally uses the ball well. What sometimes looks like an aimless punt is
because Lewis hasn't made the run forward that any reasonable person would
have expected him to do.
I think Crainey also suffers defensively because he gets no help whatsoever
from the USeless Arsehole.
If Butler and Lewis are replaced against Stoke, Carver will rise in my
estimation and I'll begin to think he might be a prospect for our full-time
manager.
If it's the mixture as before we might as well have kept Kevin.
