Seems strange that Carver eventually spoke to Sky
Sports yesterday. The Radio Leeds team (Adam Pope) was
nearly in tears because nobody at the club would talk
to anyone including Radio Leeds. Normally he's fairly
pro-Leeds even in exceptional circumstances but he was
slating Carver and his team for not coming out to face
the music yesterday. "A total disgrace" - he reckoned.
Also Eddie Gray continued to slate the players by
saying that he thought some of the players were not as
good as he initially thought and that the league table
didn't lie. Somebody quwestioned whether Blackwell had
been getting good performances out of mediocre
players. This is rubbish. You only have to look at our
performances in the last quarter of last season to see
that we were already producing relegation form well
before Blackwell went. Before Christmas last year we
got some incredible results where we got out of jail
free. I remember Burnley crucifying us and we had 2
attacks at the other end one finishing with an Eddie
Lewis free kick in the top corner and walked away with
the points. He was lucky Blackie. There's no luck left
now just a team of Blackwell recruits who have lost
all confidence and team spirit and have run out of
luck.
