Guardian has a story that Swindon have given Leeds permission to speak with Dennis "f***wit" Wise and Gus Poyet. Confusingly, in the match report from Luton, there is also a comment that we're considering Souness. I think we can all be assured that whatever the next step is, no-one is gonna like it. Carver's comment in the Observer yesterday that the whole club needs looking at, from the players, youth, experience etc is a pretty fair assessment. Shame he didn't advise Blackwell accordingly over the last year. I know this won't happen, but I still think Sturrock would be a good option, despite his Sheff Wed experience. He did wonders with Plymouth, and is the sort of dour b***ard we need. Anyone but that c*** Wise!!! John
