If the compensation is written into Wise's contrat there's not much Bates can do is there other than stump up the cash if he wants them? That's probably hopelessly naive but there you go. I reckon Bates will grudgingly stump up the cash. Mind you, do the players want Wise? If not, then we should expect a vastly improved performance against Southend, giving Carver anotther few days life line.
As much as I effing HATE Dennis Wise, if he turns around the team and gets results and we become a decent team again then I'll fckin love him. If he does the business, and he's done well to date, then I could care less how odious he is.
