After seeing all home games on telly only, and the Luton game at SOTG, I think
you sums it up quite good here!

Balanced is a key word; both in terms of position, teamwork, workrate and
skills.

I would give Richardson a little better rating than the average I've seen on
the list so far, and also think that Douglas was "ok". I would not change this
side too much, actually.

We have to do something with our goalscoring-rate, though, 'cos in next match
"that penalty" will go in etc.; and that seem to be a problem for most of the
season; we don't get paid for all our chances on target, need to be more
effectice in front of goal.

Against a weak side, as Luton was, we should have won comfortably the way we
played, and a last-minute goal from a penalty should only be to comfort some of
the tears for their fans, not a situation that could rob us from 2 points (let
alone give them one).

It is still possible, however, and it seems brighter on this side of the
weekend. If Wise manage, he deserves some credit after all.

Subject: [LU] A team with balance?

3rd posting today - what is going on?

Has DFW finally stumbled on a reasonably balanced side?

>From reports it looks as though the team played some of the best football of
>the season on Saturday.

Casper looks to be the best of the keepers we've seen this season.
Richardson is not on top form by all accounts, but is quick and a threat going
forward.
Lewis gives us a footballer at left-back Heath is limited, but OK with the
right partner Rui Marquez seems to be doing OK, and this new bloke sounded
reliable but uspectacular.
By putting Blake in the role out on the right, it seems he is getting the best
out of him, without him being too much of a passenger at other times.
Douglas is now in a role where his work rate and running are a benefit and he
is not being relied on to be a play-maker of any sort.
Kishishev seems to be capable of controlling a game and has the
strength/workrate to hold the midfield together.
Carole is being allowed to play as a winger.
Johnson has the appetite, work-rate and pace to cause problems for the
opposition (not sure about the goals).
Cresswell is getting fitter and closer to the good all-round striker we hoped
he would be.

With Flo, Thompson, Elliot all to come back at some point and Healy hopefully
not completely washed-out, are they looking like a team that might avoid the
drop?

Or am I deluded?

KOT.

PS. I don't see Kelly, Nicholls or Derry playing for us again.
