I am sorry to say that I think those of you who are saying "Hay, it
ain't that bad........we're going to bounce back with a new team etc
etc" are sadly deluded.

I fear that not only IS IT that bad, but it may even be worse!

Basically, we have been kept alive over the past few months by a few
prem-quality players coming to ER on loan........the likes of Michalik,
Gray, Kishishev & Thompson. We have had an excellent run over the last
couple of months, and if we could have stayed up and made some of those
loan deals permanent, we would have had a real springboard in place for
a big push next year. But now, not only are those loanees obviously
going to go, but what chance is there of attracting such calibre in the
future?........

People have said "We'll start with a new team........a new dawn etc",
but who are we going to get in? In the past couple of years we could
sell the club to prospective players as sleeping giant.....great
facilities....big crowd...blah-blah. That;s how we got the likes of
Healy, Cresswell, Lewis & Blake. But who is going to come to a 3rd
division team if they're any good?

And then, as several have already mentioned, there is the "every game a
Cup Final factor".

BOTTOM LINE...........I fear this is the end of the world.

But life goes on!

MOT!!!!
