According to the milwall chairman we will have a 5 million quid transfer
kitty next season. Can't wait :o)

Perhaps, he should look at it from a business point of view, not sure ethics
have every played a part in the football world.

Berylson demands leeds points deduction

May 11 2007

MILLWALL chairman John Berylson has slammed Leeds for ducking a 10-point
penalty next season - and he wants one imposed anyway.

Leeds went into administration a day before the end of the season, last
weekend, when relegation was guaranteed. Chairman Ken Bates then bought the
club out of administration within hours.

That meant the 10-point deduction they would have served, by making the move
even a day later, will not now apply in League One next term.

Berylson, left, has written to league chairman Brian Mawhinney demanding he
look at the issue - and asked other chairmen to join his campaign. "The
league should look at it again and inflict a 10-point penalty next season,"
he said. "What Leeds have done may be within the letter of the law but it
makes a mockery of all the other clubs.

"As a result, they will have a £5million transfer kitty that no other League
One club does -and that could virtually guarantee them promotion.

"We might compete with other clubs on the field, but it is in the interests
of all other clubs and fair competition that we all fight Leeds' cynicism.

"Who will trust us to repay our debts in future?

"I could have done exactly the same thing to Millwall in February but it
would have been unethical."
