Yes that was me. What is the best offer on the table for the creditors? In percentage terms?
I didnt think it was any more than a couple of percent. So, for the little creditors getting £18 back as opposed to £36 isnt really going to make any difference. For the HMRC I have no sympathy whatsoever, they wanted to shut down and sell off my football club. In the overall scheme of things, what LUFC owe HMRC is also a drop of piss in the ocean. I dont think our income taxes will be affected by this particular debt being written off. So, whereas an extra £5mil for the creditors makes little or no difference to them, an extra £5mil for LUFC does. And I of course meant altruistic towards LUFC, the football club and supporters. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: 30 May 2007 11:10 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]; [EMAIL PROTECTED]; [email protected] Subject: RE: [LU] Best interests for next season Someone (may have been you Mark) also looked at paying 1p in the pound as being the altruistic approach to saving Leeds Utd. I suspect the small businessmen, Leeds council tax payers (debt to council), national tax payers (HMRC) and St John's Ambulance, who will lose 99% of their perfectly decent and valid outstandings, would find altruistic an interesting choice of word. . _______________________________________________ the Leeds List is an unmoderated mailing list and the list administrators accept no liability for the personal views and opinions of contributors.
