After extensive research, consultation and taking into consideration
transport (underground line closures, etc) and ease of access here
follows the choices for the Saturday evening and the Sunday pre-
and post match meets.

(A) Saturday Evening

Doric Arms, 1 Eversholt Street
Formerly known as the Head of Steam this is very close to Euston
Train and bus station between Euston Road and the Euston Station.
it is on the east side of the station (ie left coming out the train station
or right from euston road) and is split level on the first floor. Up the
stairs from the two entrances.

As a fall back just round the side of Euston Station (east side, ie not
St. Pancras/Kings Cross side) the Bree Louise, 69 Cobourg Street
should it be needed.

(B) Sunday, pre and post match

Tempted though I was to say the Constitution with the redevelopment
that has been going on rounf there no one is sure what the state of
the play is, even if it's currently open. The same goes for the equally
good and nearby Perseverence.

With luck I'll be able to do a reccie and check out what's what on
Friday but in the meantime on the south side of Marylebone Road:

Windsor Castle, 29 Crawford Street

and as a fall back just round the corner from it there's the:
Wargrave Arms 40 Brendon Street.

All being well I'll post details of the reccie Friday evening.
Who knows, with luck the Constitution may be on.
(And if there's anyone else in the area able to pass in the next
day or two please, suss things out)

An aside to Dunders posting re the Moon under Water
following my comment earlier, not a Wetherspoon's but there
used to be an excellent Moon Under Water in Lamb's Conduit
Street (WC1). sadly now gone, though there's still equally good
Lamb's Tavern further up the street.
