It hardly matters what the manifesto of McCain/Palin is, what does
matter is that Palin would be VP to a 72 year old President who already
has had two fights with skin cancer....and if you have a particularly
long coffee to get through, read this:

al_john_mccain/page/2

That's not to say Obama is perfect.

Continuing my policy of always going for the least worst, he is without
doubt the least worst after 8 years of Dubya.

Anyhow, enough of politics.

Kandol to score on saturday, surely!?!?

I don't really have the inclination for a fight/discussion about this
but the idea that neither the Tories nor the Republican are "really
right" beggars belief - this only works in comparison with the BNP and
various groups getting some power in Austria etc - granted the
Republicans are "worse" that the Tories, but Jesus...have you listened
to either of them still trying to prevent "too much regulation of the
market" in recent weeks - and just have a look at the "manifesto" of
McCain /Palin which seems to boil down to "don't vote for the other guy
he's got a funny sounding name plus he's not really American and he
might once have drunk a coffee with someone who is not a patriot"

(BTW - you will note that this is not a defence of New Labour, before
any of you start)

Both the USA and Uk do not have clear cut political parties any more -
the Conservatives/Republicans are not really "right" and the
Democrats/Labour party are not really "left" all of them are trying to
be all things to everyone and we end up with a whole bunch of wishy
washy centre based politicians, all determined to stir up apathy in the
voting population.

Cheers

Steve
