As far as possession etc goes it was pretty even - they had first 5 mins and then we took control in the first half apart from a few corners by them. Second half they were more in control but we always thought a win was possible and once Delph scored we almost knew we would win. I have not seen anything from Stockport to suggest that they deserved to win or that we were lucky etc. As for how we played compared to previous few weeks the main difference was our commitment at the back - we were throwing ourselves at the ball and putting in last ditch tackles - there was a determination not to concede that has been lacking over the last month or two Hope this helps - of course this is only my take on it and others who were there may have seen it differently I agree with the lister who criticised those barracking Beckford - they want there heads banging together - he is (Delph excepted) the one bit of quality we have,he always looks dangerous and is a handful for defenders - yes he has a tendency to stand Jimmy or Viduka like with hands on hips or pointing when the ball does not reach him or he has lost possession but so what, to me he does put in the effort and tries his hardest. Clearly at Stockport and Leics games he was not fully match fit but he never gave up. It is no co-incidence that, although our problems are at the back, our from took a turn for the worse when he was out injured. I still think that if he had been fully fit at Wembley we would have won in the play offs ! Dave
