My mate in Norwich had this to say about Hoolahan...

Tim W.

"I think we signed him on the basis that he'd been the best player on
the pitch whenever we'd played Blackpool. He's not really proved
himself on the bigger stage and to be honest I'm not too sure if the
more physical style in League 1 would be his cup of tea. He was
a big fish in a small pond at Blackpool and not being the star player may
be the reason for the lack of output so far. To be honst I'm surprised
Roeder signed him given his preference for a bigger athletic type of
player (like Wenger at Arsenal). He's a bit too easy to get off the ball,
although we have used him to some effect in the hole behind a lone
striker where he can drop off and receive the ball in space. He's a
good passer and fancies himself as a dribbler, but he's not in the
same class as Huckerby, who to some extent he was supposed to replace.
I'd be surprised if we sold him, as it would in effect be an admission of
failure by the manager and would provide further evidence to those of us
of the opinion that the manager has no idea what he's doing".

The last buy from norwich hasnt exactly "pulled up trees" and indeed

We have rather a lot of midfielders though, don't we? And are rather
less blessed in the goalkeeping and CHalf departments.
