It makes me sick when so called experts in this country go on about Micheal Carrick. Yes he can pass a ball and has a decent shot but if you compare him on the world stage he's completely lacking. He doesn't have the determination, skill or pace to be considered anything other than a decent premiership midfielder. I think he's actually a weak link in their team at times. He's great when they're steamrolling West Brom but when the chips are down and the pressure is on he tries long, ambitious balls that rarely find their target.
