It's because the BBC only have the rights to show the highlights in the UK, not worldwide.

In terms of our website, that will not be happening. Sorry. It's not because we don't want to, it's because we are contractually not allowed to. However, my understanding (and I'm waiting to have this confirmed by the Football League) is that some of the club websites themselves offer subscription services through which you can access the highlights of matches worldwide. Like I say, don't take my word for it, but it's worth having a good look around the website of whichever Football League club you support, and working out if you can see the clips outside the UK. And even if you're inside the UK, it's worth a look at these services, particularly for the diehard fan who cannot wait until Monday to see the clips on our site." --- On Sun, 16/8/09, Guy Thornton <[email protected]> wrote: From: Guy Thornton <[email protected]> Subject: Re: [LU] LU: The Championship To: [email protected] Date: Sunday, 16 August, 2009, 5:27 PM On 16 Aug 2009 at 15:21, Robinson, Mick wrote: > Thanks to all who responded, my company has a UK proxy server so all > is fine......
