To celebrate International Human Right's Day, Green Left Weekly is
organising a "Solidarity Picnic". Join with a range of migrant communities
& community activists in a relaxing day with food and drink available.
ALSO ENTER THE GREEN LEFT WEEKLY SOCCER TOURNAMENT:
Taking place during the picnic, winners will recieve the Inaugural GLW
Soccer Trophy (and a slab of beer). There will also be a range of
'encouragement prizes'.
Both seasoned soccer players and unfit newcomers are welcome.
TEAMS OF 6 PEOPLE-
Enter by sending $30 registration for your team, the team name, your name
and phone number to the Resistance Centre, 14 Anthony St, Melbourne. Or
phone Jorge on 9329 1320.
Groups already expressing interest in entering include from the Kurdish and
Tamil communities, several from the Latin American community, as well as
feminist activists and a high school team...
the day promises to be lots of fun!
