There will be a protest against the Liberals' plans for 5000 job cuts at
Centrelink this Friday, December 4. All welcome!
It will take place at 10am outside Moreland Centrelink at 172 Moreland Rd,
Brunswick (just off Sydney Rd to the west).
Speakers will include:
Tony Helou, Mayor of Moreland
Andy Ingham, sec Brunswick ALP
Laura Smyth, Vic pres, National Union of Students
A Community and Public Sector Union official
Judy McVey, Brunswick Socialist Worker
The rally is demanding that Centrelink remain a fully funded public
service. The main slogan is Defend and Extend Centrelink.
The rally has been endorsed by Brunswick and Brunswick South ALP branches,
Brunswick Socialist Worker branch, Moreland Council and NUS Vic.
