Building International Solidarity: Issues for Unionists in the Asia Pacific
Region
This week we take you to a public meeting about issues facing unionists in
the Asia Pacific region. Organised by Australia Asia Worker Links, today's
speakers are Dave Cushion from the Maritime Union of Australia and Gweneth
Evans, the Workcover Officer at the Victorian Trades Hall Council. Dave and
Gweneth have just returned from the Asia Pacific Solidarity Links Conference
in Columbo, Sri Lanka, and the anti-APEC summit held in Kuala Lumpur,
Malaysia. They talk about the problems and solidarity buliding strategies
for our region.
