Rally in support of Native Title


On Tuesday 15th December at 12.30pm there will be a rally at the
front of
Parliament House in support of Native Title and in opposition to
the
Government's proposed legislation.

The centrepiece of the rally will be a giant painting of the
Ngurrara country.

This painting was completed by 70 artists from the Walmajarri,
Mangala and
Wangajunka peoples of the Great Sandy Desert as a way of
demonstrating their
ownership of land and represents the area of their native title
claim.

Representatives from the Ngurrara claimants will make a statement
of native
title song, dance and painting.

Other speakers at the rally will include Peter Yu and Pat Dodson
(Kimberley
Lands Council), Giz Watson (Greens WA). Helen Hodgeson
(Democrats), Geoff
Gallop (ALP) and the Premier have been invited to address the
rally.

Please come along and bring as many friends as possible.
Demonstrate your
support for justice for aboriginal people and voice your
opposition to the
attempts to rush the government's unjust and discriminatory Bills
through
Parliament.

that was
proposed for Thursday 10th December.
