Public Inquiry into Victoria's State Education System Was Mr Kennett right? In response to the Productivity Commission's 'Report on Government Services 1999', he commented that it was a sign of efficiency that Victoria spent less than other states on education. People Together wishes to inquire into, and report to the people of Victoria, on the current operation of the State's public schools system with an emphasis on the issues of equity and accountability. We invite submissions from all members of the education community, ie students, parents, teachers, and interested citizens, particularly in relation to: - Resourcing of schools - Needs of disadvantaged students - Class sizes - Staffing issues - and a range of other matters.
