On Sunday 22nd November at 2pm

Sandra Bloodworth and Irene Bolger will talk about Rebel Women in
Australian Working Class History. Sandra has edited a book of this title,
with contributions from Sanda Bloodworth, Janey Stone and others, which
covers the roles of women in some of the most impressive and militant
labour battles in Australian history.

On Thursday 26th November at 7.30pm

Humphrey McQueen will talk about his new book Temper Democratic: How
Exceptional Is Australia? This book is an irreverent reflection on the
idea of a classless Australia - its achievements, its limitations and
opponents. Humphrey's new book reminds us why the action of working people
is reinvigorating social democracy and can preserve civilisation from the
barbarism of market forces.
