The Kumarangk Legal Defence Fund Inc will present this remarkable
documentary about Helen Steel and Dave Morris who took on the
McDonalds corporation.

Funds raised will support those being sued for alleged defamation in
connection with the campaign to stop the building of the bridge to
Hindmarsh Island (Kumarangk).

Filmed over three years, the 60 minute documentary follows Helen Steel
and Dave Morris as they struggle to defend themselves in the longest
trial in English history. They faced spies, secret meetings with top
executives and 30 000 pages of background reading - and a visit from
Ronald!

Proposed transmission on the BBC and Channel 4 were pulled for fear of
libel. Both companies have been threatened with legal action by
McDonalds in the past, along with more than 90 organisations in the
UK. It may never be shown on Australian TV either.

"Politics ***** Entertainment **** should be shown as widely as
possible... dramatic, inspiring, hard hitting and heart warming" _New
Internationalist_ magazine.
