PROTEST RALLY AT CASUARINA PRISON
The families of inmates of Casuarina Prison have organised a  
Protest Rally to be held outside the prison at 12 noon tomorrow  
(Tuesday).

Since the Christmas Day riot at the prison many prisoners have  
complained of the long periods of "shut down" and many have  
been isolated and shackled.  Families complain that some  
prisoners have been bashed and that  families have been  
denied visits.

Many of the punishment regimes imposed at Casuarina and  
other prisons throughout WA are in breach of the UN  
Convention On The Rights of the Prisoner.  This includes the  
use and abuse of isolation cells and shackling of prisoners.

Demonstrate your concern and support the families.

Please be there to support the families in their peaceful protest.
