Action Alert.

Today at 6am more than two hundred workers protested in support of
the Textile Clothing and Footwear Union of Australia (TCFUA) picket
outside the Australian Dyeing Company (ADC) factory at 169 Noone
Street, Clifton Hill, Melbourne, Australia.

The company has locked out its union workers for 44 days, because
they insist on organising collectively as members of the TCFUA. This
is another attempt to exclude unions from workplaces in Australia.
Security guards are on duty at all times in the factory. Police have
been escorting scabs into the factory to maintain production.

There is a 24 hour peaceful assembly endorsed by the Victorian Trades
Hall Council outside the ADC factory in Noone Street, Clifton Hill.
Local residents have been supporting the union workers and have
protested the use of untrained scabs using dangerous chemicals in the
factory.
