"HISTORY OF THE CIA" [PART I]
Part 1 of a 4-part documentary which looks at the CIA & its involvement in
some significant world events of this century. Part 1 looks at the origins
of the Agency, & its role in Australian affairs, including the continuing
presence of USA military bases in Australia & the dismissal of the Whitlam
Government in 1975.
Originally produced for Public Radio's "Watching Brief" program, this
documentary first went to air in 1986 but remains spookily relevant in 1999!
