organized by the Institute of Latin American Studies at La Trobe.

This is a unique opportunity to hear and meet Bishop Ruiz and other
speakers talk about the background, current state and future of indigenous
conflict in southern Mexico.  Bishop Ruiz, a leading figure in liberation
theology, has also played a major role in negotiations between the Mexican
government and the Zapatistas.
