2nd Annual Aboriginal Philosophy Week - 1999
Linga Longa Aboriginal Philosophy Farm's Collaboration - 1999
is open to members of the international community and will be a
philosophical exploration of the connections existing between
Reconciliation, Spiritual Health and a Sense of Place.
Aboriginal Philosophy Farm encourages peoples of all backgrounds
and ages, from recognised and unrecognised nations, to attend and
participate.
The 2nd Annual Philosophy Week Conference will build on the success
of last year's "Sustainability" Conference. Once again participants
will live as a community for a week and experience an essence of
Aboriginal culture and belief from leading Aboriginal philosophers
and healers.
This April hopes to give the world a better idea of what can be
achieved when first peoples have sovereign control over their
knowledge and land.

PROGRAMS COLLABORATION - 1999
I. PHILOSOPHY WEEK - 1999
When? 5th-10th April, 1999.
Where? Linga Longa Aboriginal Philosophy Farm at Rollands
Plains, Mid North Coast of New South Wales, just
northwest of Port Maquarie, Australia.
Who? 350 people will be assembling and camping in the
open-air bush, including (not exclusively):
philosophers, teachers, students, farmers, scholars, human rights
and environmental activists, elders, healers, scientists, artists,
parents and children.
What? Exploring Spiritual Health and Reconciliation with
several leading Aboriginal elders, philosophers and
healers through dance, music, song, art, story
telling, land/environment and kinship/cosmology.
How? Aboriginal Presenters will speak to the group as a
whole and run smaller hands-on workshops around a
campfire, stream, in a meadow or grove, encouraging
participation and will be available for individual
questions/needs.
This year's theme is: "Healing Our Spirit"
Participants will be Camping Out for Reconciliation.
