There will be a picket of Foreign Affairs minister Alexander Downer at
Melbourne Town Hall tomorrow (Thursday) night from 6pm onwards in support
of the East Timorese and Indonesian struggles.
The picket has been called under the slogans: Stop the Genocide--Break all
Military Links with Indonesia, Freedom for East Timor Now.
It is endorsed by the Student Unionism Network, Action in Solidarity with
Indonesia and East Timor, Socialist Worker and (I believe) RMIT and VUT
student unions.

As Leftlinkers are now aware, there will be a picket of Richard Butler at
the Old Arts Building, Melbourne Uni from 5pm on Friday night. This protest
replaces a similar picket called for Saturday morning, that some of you may
have seen advertised.
