DICE http://www.dice.org.au [EMAIL PROTECTED] ___________________________ The Commonwealth Attorney General is preparing delegated legislation to exempt 8 pieces of legislation from the DDA. The DDA copntains provisions in the Act for the Mininster to prescribe legislation which effectively places it outside the scope of the DDA. APDC/NCID have begun a joint action to ensure that the Minister is held accountable for his actions. If the legislation is tabled the Parliament has only 15 days in which to move a motion to disallow the legislation. It is imperative that the disabilty sector demand an explanation of this action by the Government.
