PUSH YOUR VOTE OUR WAY.
Push-polling in Australian electoral politics
Produced by Suzanne Smith
Sunday, February 28 @ 9.10am
Repeated Tuesday, March 2 @ 7.10pm
---------------------------------------------------------
You've heard of Focus Groups - that's where they find out what you think.
Then there's push polling - which is where they question you in such a way
they 'push' you towards what they want you to think. Then this all feeds
into wedge politics, to drive a political division in the community.
It's been influencing the way elections are won or lost for some years.
Explore this back room of politics, where there's masterful manipulation
going on.....
Background Briefing, this Sunday after the morning news at 9.

THE UN AND RWANDA: ABANDONED TO GENOCIDE?
Produced by Bronwyn Adcock
---------------------------------------------------------
Seared into the global psyche are the images of burnt and butchered people,
exhausted and terrified children. Rwanda caught up in hideous and mindless
savagery.
We now find out the evil didn't just erupt out of tribal barbarism. It was
meticulously planned and the killers well trained. Worse: Western powers
knew it was coming...and, when they could have prevented it, pulled out
instead.
Why?
