Just a reminder that the 1999 Centre of Southeast Asian Studies
Seminar series will begin this Thursday, 4 March 1999 at 11.15 am in
Room SG03, Menzies Building, Monash University Clayton campus. As
publicised in the complete list for this semester, Dr Susan Blackburn
of the Department of Politics, will be presenting the first seminar in
this series. She will be speaking on a most important and topical
theme - the May 1998 rapes of Chinese women in Indonesia and their
impact on Indonesian women's consciousness and political action.
