The global economic crisis continues to bewilder defenders of the
capitalist system. The Liberals want to make workers pay for the crisis
with their GST.
But resistance to this market madness is growing. The dictator Suharto has
been toppled in Indonesia where the struggle continues. Here in Melbourne,
the ADC workers won higher wages and union rights through good
old-fashioned struggle and solidarity.
Socialist Worker presents a weekend of debate and discussion on how we can
fight back and on the Marxist alternative to the market.
The weekend, "Global Crisis: The Case for Revolution", will take place on
Saturday and Sunday, April 17 and 18, at Ross House, 247 Flinders Lane in
the City. Registration costs $15 ($10 concession) for the weekend, or $8
($6) for a day.
Free, professional childcare is available, but must be booked by Monday,
April 12.
