Greetings
The International Day of Protest against Global Capital on June 18 is fast
approaching. Many groups and individuals are organising small and large
scale events for the day in Melbourne (as well as in so many other places).
If you haven't got anything planned yet - start dreaming! Only all of our
efforts will demonstrate that our resistance to the forces of global
capital - is also global.
We've just done a print run of 1000 posters promoting the day and 4000
leaflets - so we desperately need help with postering and handing out
leaflets. If you're in Melbourne and can help us out - we're meeting this
Thursday the 27th at 6pm to distribute the posters in Meeting Room 1 at
RMIT. If you can't make that but want to help out - contact us by email at

I'd like to stress that the posters advertise the day - in terms of groups
and individuals acting autonomously on the day. They also advertise a 12
noon meeting at the GPO...however this is strictly a get together, as
opposed to an orderly demonstration. As a group, we call ourselves the
J18-Committee and are a fairly mixed bunch...our aim is to hype up the day
in Melbourne to hopefully reach the potential it clearly has.
